Expanded Polystyrene Foam ("EPS")

Expanded Polystyrene Foam ("EPS")

Expanded Polystyrene Foam ("EPS")

EPS Foam Insulation

Expanded polystyrene (EPS) is a rigid and tough, closed-cell foam. It is usually white and made of pre-expanded polystyrene beads. Sheets are commonly packaged as rigid panels (size 4 x 8 or 2 x 8 feet), which are also known as "bead-board". Also known as "Styrofoam".

Extruded Polystyrene Foam ("XPS")

XPS foam insulation

Extruded polystyrene foam (XPS) consists of closed cells, offers improved surface roughness as higher stiffness and reduced thermal conductivity. It is usually Blue, Green or Pink and made of extruded polystyrene. Sheets are commonly packaged as rigid panels (size 4 x 8 or 2 x 8 feet), which are also known as "blue-board, green-board, or pink-board".

Polyisocyanurate Foam ("ISO")

Expanded Polystyrene Foam ("EPS")

Polyisocyanurate Foam ("ISO")

ISO foam insulation

Poly Isocyanurate foam (ISO) consists of closed cell polyurethane foam. It is usually Yellow with either a paper or foil backing. Sheets are commonly packaged as rigid panels (size 4 x 8 or 4 x 4 feet), which are also known as "yellow-board".

Composite Foam Board ("COMP")

Composite Foam Board ("COMP")

Polyisocyanurate Foam ("ISO")

Composite foam insulation

Composite Foam Insulation Board (COMP) consists of one of the above listed foams laminated to or between a layer(s) of fiber board or concrete. Typical examples include XPS Blue-Board with Concrete or ISO Yellow-Board with Fiberboard. Sheets are commonly packaged as rigid panels (size 4 x 8 or 4 x 4 feet).

EPDM - Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer “Rubber” Membrane

EPDM roofing membrane

EPDM is known as rubber membrane and is typically black in color. EPDM membrane is adhered together with adhesive to eliminate all seams so moisture can not pass through.

TPO - Thermoplastic Olefin or Polyolefin Membrane

EPDM - Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer “Rubber” Membrane

EPDM - Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer “Rubber” Membrane

TPO roofing membrane

TPO membranes are single-ply roof membranes constructed from ethylene propylene rubber and are typically white or beige in color. They are designed to combine the durability of rubber with the proven performance of hot-air weldable seams.
